FAQs

How often should I get a professional facial?

While it’s standard to recommend a facial every 4-6 weeks, your esthetician may recommend a different schedule based on your individual skin needs or concerns.

Should I expect to experience break out after my facial?

It is possible to experience a temporary breakout after a facial, especially if it involved deep cleansing or extractions. This is because facials can help removed impurities, dead skin cells and excess oily from the skin, which may initially cause some congestion to rise to the surface. However, breakouts following a facial should be mild and short-lived. They are generally considered a normal part of the skin’s healing and purging process. It’s important to note that everyone’s skin reacts differently, so not everyone will experience post-facial breakouts. To minimize the chances of post-facial breakouts and support the skin’s healing process, it is essential to follow proper aftercare.

What should I expect after my facial?

After a facial, you can expect your skin to feel clean, refreshed and rejuvenated. It may also appear brighter, smoother and more radiant. There might be a temporary redness or sensitivity, but it should subside within a few hours to a day. You may experience a temporary breakout as your skin purges impurities, but it should resolve within a few days. Your skin may feel more hydrated and nourished. Over time, regular facials can improve skin texture, tone and even out skin tone and reduce the appearance of blemished. It’s important to continue with good skincare habits at home for optimal results.

Can I receive a facial after Botox or Fillers?

It is generally recommended to wait at least two weeks after a facial before receiving Botox and fillers. This allows the skin to fully recover from any potential redness, sensitivity, or inflammation that may have occurred during the facial. If you have recently received Botox or fillers, it is important to schedule your facial at least 14 days post injections. This is because Botox and fillers take some time to settle into their intended positions and minimize the risk of displacement.

Should I shave before my facial?

It is generally recommended to shave the night before your facial appointment to allow the skin to recover and minimize and potential irritation. Shaving immediately before a facial can cause the skin to become more sensitive, irritated, or even leave small cuts or nicks on the skin’s surface. These can potentially lead to discomfort or increased sensitivity during the facial treatment.
